Andrea encountered acupuncture and Chinese medicine via her studies in massage therapy. She was smitten and completed her Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine in 2011 at AIMC in Berkeley. The importance of human touch and listening, as parts of the healing process remain foundational to her practice. Through over 20 years working and volunteering around the SF Bay Area and beyond she’s journeyed from community style clinic, to private practice, pop-ups and back! Along the way elements of Tui Na, Acutonics, and Arvigo lineage Maya abdominal therapy were braided into her practice. Most recently she’s been drawn into perinatal care, as well as the emotional and mental health components of dis-ease in our bodies. She enjoys working with folks at all stages of life and across various spectra. She’s supported by her relationships with nature and connecting to mesoamerican traditional medicines and culture, loves exploring food and flavors, and is fascinated by the ways bodies hold and communicate our stories.
Andrea is conversational in Spanish.
