八正丸, Eight Herb Powder for Rectification Pills
TCM Functions: Clears Heat, Drains Dampness, Promotes Urination

Standard Dosage: 8 pills, 3 x per day

Ingredients: Lysimachia christinae herb, Akebia trifoliata stem, Plantago asiatica seed, Dianthus superbus herb, Polygonum aviculare herb, Gardenia jasminoides fruit, Glycyrrhiza uralensis root, Phellodendron chinense bark, Rheum palmatum root & rhizome
Ingredients (Pin Yin): Jin qian cao, Mu tong (san ye), Che qian zi, Qu mai, Bian xu, Zhi zi, Gan cao, Huang bai, Da huang
Other Ingredients: Talcum, Activated carbon, China wax
Label Warning: Contraindicated during pregnancy. Caution when nursing.

Clinical Dosage: Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In acute cases, dosage may be increased to 8-12 pills every 2-4 hours, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the formula takes effect. May be used short to medium-term for a few weeks to a month. Once the acute symptoms of this pattern are resolved, this formula should be discontinued. Monitor for signs of Yin or Spleen Qi deficiency.
